My dear, sweet, little Kamryn,
Happy 3rd birthday! What a joy you are to our family.
Let's look back.
Out of this
came this. Such a sweet little peanut.
Now, as you often tell me, you are big. (Well, in a small 3-yr-old sense of big.)
You so often make us laugh with your illogical sense of logic.
Like last night when I told you that tomorrow was going to be your birthday.
You: What kind of birthday?
Me: Your third birthday.
You: What kind of third birthday?
Me: That means you will be 3 tomorrow.
You: Then I get to do swimming lessons?
Me: No, you have to be 5.
You: But I am 5.
Me: No, you're not.
You: Yes, I am!
You tell me that "when the clock goes up one more time, then I will grow up!" I'm hoping the clock doesn't get to the top for a long, long time.
You try so hard to keep up with everything that your big sister does. You join us for school every morning and eagerly embrace whatever outdoor adventure Kyla finds every afternoon. You have nearly memorized the entire 23rd Psalm because you say it every night with us.
And even though you consider yourself nearly fully grown, I'm so glad that you still want to climb up on my lap and snuggle every morning when you get up. And I'm also secretly happy that you still need me to rescue you from puppies, strangers, and the occasional loud noise.
I believe life will be a series of adventures for you. I pray that you find your wings someday (it's ok with Mommy if that is not for a very long time) and embark on whatever life God has in store for you with much enthusiasm.
You are precious. You are adored. You are loved.
With all that I am, I love you, my sweet little Kam-Bam.
How sweet!! Your daughter is really innocent. Thanks for sharing conversation that you had with her before her 3rd birthday. Well, my little princess will turn 4 next month. You know she has demanded a frozen birthday party at her favorite event spaces in DC!
