Here's a few of my favorite helpful hints!

A glass jar with a metal lid that just won't open?

Use a spoon and gently apply pressure between the lid and the top of the jar, just enough to break the seal.  You'll hear a "pop," and the lid will open easily.

This is a handy can-storage unit that my husband built for me to store my canned goods in a narrow space in our pantry.  It is pretty empty in this picture, but you can easily see how many cans it could possibly hold.  And the top works great to hold my large spice containers.

Before measuring shortening, ketchup, or anything sticky, line your measuring cups with a small piece of clear wrap.  The measured ingredient will be a piece of cake to get out of the cup!
